  Seed Tech
As you sow, so shall you reap.

Though, India has one of the largest agricultural research and development systems in world, the country has the lowest productivity per unit area. In spite of having a high number of yielding varieties, our quality seeds fail to reach the farmers. The condition is so abysmal that high quality certified seeds are used by less than 12% of the farmers and the remaining 88% either raise their crops from self-saved seeds or source them from nearby rural mandis. This concern would be well addressed, as the event would serve as a meeting ground for the seed companies and the farmer.

A weak or bad monsoon is always considered as a major setback to India’s economy and always results in a heavy loss to the country’s GDP levels. In India, the monsoons are uncertain in nature. Some times we get about 100 hours of rain annually, but we fail to retain the water. Post Harvest operations have great importance due to higher yields & increased cropping intensity. Due to introduction of modern technology, yield levels have substantially increased, resulting in market surplus, which has to be stored until prices are favorable for sale.
